M. Nahadr, ECLECTIC IS M

This year I began performing again, with the fabulous M (otherwise known as Mem Nahadr).

She has a new release out on the label LiveWired, called ECLECTIC IS M, April 2009. This is a collection of tracks from different projects M has worked on in the past 10 years or so... and is soul-soothingly positive, groovy, spacy, outrageously beautiful - and I don't say that to be partial or anything - I am heard on 2 of the tracks, "Deep In a Shallow Bed" and "Starlight", in the guise of Electric Meg.

This album is going to be a real treat for people who are looking for "something completely mindblowing"! I can't wait to see this woman and everything behind her blow up into blindingly beautiful spacedust that gently covers the earth in love!

On Ka'a Davis, Seeds of Djuke

Another release on LiveWired is a debut from a long-time collaborator of mine.....On Davis, guitarist / singer /futurist/ groove-master.

All I can say is that bombs have exploded in this man's brain and the repercussions are .... well, they are SO GOOD, that I boldly call this music the PENULTIMATE GENERATION OF GLOBAL GROOVE!

Blending his own avante-gard sensibilities with those of Fela Kuti, Sun Ra et al, the music is incredibly powerful, and positive, and to the absolute moment. Featuring horns, a plethora of singers, and a thick grooving backline.... and sounds that you've never heard before, you'll listen to this one over and over again, each time finding a new little gem hidden in the groove.

My participation in this disk includes engineering, singing and trumpet tracks.
