The Worldly Vibe Loft is located in the Arts District of downtown Newark, NJ. Here's a picture from the 2008 Cherry Blossom Festival at Branch Brook Park (the largest Cherry Blossom Festival in North America). Branch Brook Park was designed by Frederick Law Olmstead (designer of Central Park and Prospect Park), and is indicative of how Newark was modelled after NYC.

In the past few years, Newark has transformed into a vibrant, hip, modern city. The cultural institutions are top notch, including NJ Performing Arts Center, The Newark Museum, WBGO Jazz Radio and a myriad of galleries, including the Aljira Gallery, clubs and festivals. The Prudential Center, a brand new sports and entertainment facility, is newly opened just a few blocks away. There is a LOT to do in Newark, and it is an extremely convenient location, and much much much cheaper than NYC!

Newark is 12 miles from downtown Manhattan. It's a transportation capital - boasting Newark Liberty Airport, Newark Penn Station (Amtrak, NJTransit, PATH trains), Newark Broad Street Station (NJTransit trains), the Light Rail, which connects all eastern parts of NJ, and access to all major highways.

The Worldly Vibe Loft is located just outside of the redevelopment zone, on the south side of downtown (just outside the Ironbound). One of the few old factories left, the building is half residential and half commercial. There are several recording studios and workshops in the building. It is located immediately outside of the Ironbound district.

The loft is 4,000 sf huge and includes 6 private rooms, a workout area with gym equipment, a large, well-equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms, an industrial freight elevator, 2 large lounge areas, laundry, wired or wireless internet, and parking.

The Worldly Vibe Loft is located 10 blocks from Newark Penn Station - about a 12 minute walk or very quick bike ride. (There's a huge bike rack at the train station.) It takes about 35 minutes to get from the Loft to either the WTC PATH station, or to NYC Penn Station.

Having lived in NYC for 15 years, and in Newark for 8 years, it's my opinion that Newark is like a 6th borough - it's actually faster (and cheaper!) getting into midtown or downtown from here than from many places in Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx or Staten Island. The difference is, that you could never find or afford this kind of SPACE anywhere in NYC!!!

Tenants are creative professionals. It is a live/work space so many people work from their private rooms. There is plenty of open space for hanging out, cooking, watching TV, and playing games.

It's a place where people can practice their architectural or interior design concepts - residents can build, paint and decorate their rooms any way they like.
