CREDENTIALS

electric meg

My name is Meg Montgomery, and I am the founder of Worldly Vibe and the Creative Institute.

I picked up my first cornet at age 9, and within 2 years knew I had found the path to my life. I spent my high school years performing in local ensembles including marching bands, brass quintets and jazz ensembles, and also performed with the New York Youth Symphony Orchestra and its chamber ensembles, as well as All County, All State, and All Eastern ensembles.

I spent those early summers studying music at SUNY Potsdam, The Berklee School of Music, and The Eastman School of Music. I graduated from the Indiana School of Music in 1988 with a Bachelor of Music Education.

After college, I pursued a dual performance and computer career in New York City, eventually fusing the two to form Worldly Vibe Multimedia in 1995.

I have performed internationally with a wide variety of jazz and world music artists, and have produced and engineered
several recordings and music festivals.

Worldly Vibe houses a digital arts studio, which will be an integral part of the Creative Institute in terms of
recording music and making movies.

I am currently performing, recording and touring in the guise of "Electric Meg" with Onka'a Davis and the
Famous Original Djuke Players, and composing a solo album for release on the Worldly Vibe Label.
