PROJECTED COURSE of STUDY

Each "orchestra" consists of 5-15 students playing different instruments, singing, dancing and making art. Beginning the coursework will be the introduction of "Intuitive conduction", which involves of a conductor who uses gestures, expressions, cue cards and other methods to communicate what the orchestra should play.

Classes are 60 minutes long, once a week, with vacations coinciding with school breaks. Year is from the second week of September to the second week of June. There are approximately 35 classes in the scheduled year. First year classes will be held at Kasbah Liberty, in White Sulpher Springs NY.

Instruments can be traditional or unconventional. You can sing, you can dance, you can create art projects. The object is to experiment with all genres in order to find what the student is most drawn to.

Each rehearsal will be recorded and available on YouTube for study and documentation.

Students are responsible for their own instruments and supplies, however there will always be supplies and instruments available at the studio.

In the spring and early summer, the ensembles will perform at different venues, including parades, private parties, concerts and other events.

We will have references for private teachers.

Students who are visual artists will work on a project all year that will be a part of the final "grand" concert. The materials must be portable. Large projects may be stored at the facility, however they remain the student's responsibility.
